WordPress Theme TOU

Pre made themes are different than custom design in that they are not one of a kind. They are sold multiple times to multiple clients. This means that you may run across another blog with the same design as you. The template will be customized with your name for the blog title but all other elements of design are staple parts of that theme.

IMPORTANT: All premade WordPress themes are for self-hosted WordPress.org sites only. They will not work on WordPress.com.

Due to the digital nature of our products we do not offer refunds. We are happy to assist you in resolving any issues, however. For all templates payment is due in full upon ordering. You will be directed to Paypal to make your full payment. If payment is not received your order will not be processed. If for some reason you do not receive your digital files please contact us ASAP. Your files will be sent to the email address you have on file with PayPal. Additionally, you can login to your account to access your files if you registered for an account.

The theme files and Genesis Framework are only to be used by the client who purchased the theme on the site that they purchased it for. The theme files or framework are not to be shared or redistributed for any reason. Our files are also not to be edited and re-used for design profit.

All designs are sold as is, we will not make revisions to the design of the theme unless you purchase alterations. We are able to offer the templates for a great price due to the fact that they are sold as is. If you are unsure about the alterations that can be made and price per edit please contact us.

We ask that you do not change or alter any of the images used in your design that include artwork: Header, background, or any other elements without written request. Your design has our name attached to it and as soon as it is altered it no longer becomes our design which becomes misleading to other clients. The only exclusion is if the theme states it allows you to upload your own logo which many of our themes offer.

You will need to purchase hosting and install WordPress. If you would like us to install WordPress for you we can do so for $30.00 simply purchase your theme and once you have paid you will be re-directed to the design form where you can add on assistance and we will send an invoice. Installation of WordPress will extend the wait time. The WordPress install does not include theme install that must be purchased seperatly.

If you need help with your design after install we are happy to help as long as you have read through the troubleshooting page AND your questions apply to the design itself. Extensive help will require the purchase support.

Basic knowledge WordPress help is not included with WordPress theme purchase -you will need to know how to use your WordPress site for blog posts, adding images, etc… While we can not offer individual help for basic use of WordPress we do have many tutorials.

Plugins

We do not offer help with plugins beyond the install and set up as shown in previews if you need help or are experiencing problems with plugins contact the plugin author.

We are not affiliated or associated with the suggested plugins, the plugins are stand alone applications suggested for our themes. We suggest plugins based on research and trial of plugins we have found to be reliable and useful.

If a plugin at some point no longer works we are not liable and you will need to contact the plugin author or replace with a similar plugin of choice.

Premade WordPress designs are self install – we provide detailed tutorial on installing your theme as well as a theme install guide. If you hire us to install your template we will install your premade theme for you within 7 days of cleared payment ass long as you have added us to your site as an admin. While we take great care during installation and have not had a problem yet we still state that should a problem occur we will not be responsible for any lost widgets or complications during upload process. Please back up your old template should you encounter and problems.

All designs will be installed with our logo/link. These links must remain in place until the design is removed from your blog. All images are copyright BD Web Studio and can not be altered or used for any other purposes including but not limited to Facebook badges, Twitter profile pics, logo’s, etc… these items must be purchased for an additional fee.

Themes can not be re-sold or revised and re-sold.

Once you install Genesis on your blog or website it will be your responsibility to maintain and update Genesis should new versions and or updates be released. It is a good idea to always update when updates are available as it will help to keep your site safe. Additionally, it will be your responsibility to update all plug-ins should new updates be released. Maintenance of your blog or website is also your full responsibility unless you hire us for maintenance services. While we take responsibility for all design aspects of your site during the design process we will not be responsible for any altercations to your design once it has been published including but not limited to design disruption due to: client editing of code, client adding plug-ins that interfere with design, client failure to back up website/blog. It will also be your full responsibility to back up your entire blog or website. If, for some reason, you were to lose your entire blog or website we would not be responsible for re-installing your design due to failure of back up. We do not keep a copy of your design code and therefor, would not be able to install your design again.
