Below we will walk you through setting up your navigation menu on Blogger. The directions below are for a basic navigation menu showing tabs for the pages you create such as “Home” “About” “Contact”. If you want your Blogger navigation tabs to display tabs that link to outside sources or to categories within your blog see below this tutorial for info on each of those options.Β Adding a basic navigation menu to Blogger is pretty easy so lets get started: (picture tutorial below)
Step 1: Go to “Pages” and click “New Page” to add a new page
Step 2: Be sure to title your page as you would like it displayed in your Blogger navigation menu
Repeat steps 1 and 2 for as many pages as you would like before moving on – this will make your life much easier I promise!
Step 3: Now that you have all your pages ready head on over to “layout” you will find “layout” as an option in your left hand sidebar on your dashboard.
On your layout page you will see “Pages” click “edit”. If for some reason you do not see “Pages” simply click “add a gadget” and add the pages gadget.
Step 4: Once you click “edit” under pages a box will pop up that will display all your pages. simply check the box next to each page you would like to display in your Blogger navigation menu! Click save on the Pages gadget box and then click “save arrangement” on the layout page
Want to add an external link for one of your Blogger navigation menu items?
Simply click edit under the pages gadget as shown above and when the gadget box pops up you will see “add external link” in blue right above your list of pages. Click that and add your title and link.
