There are tons of options for adding a contact form to your WordPress.org blog or website. Today I will go over one the easiest ways to get a contact form added to your WordPress site in less than 5 minutes! Contact forms are a great way to let your readers contact you without having to give out your email address up front. It is never a good idea to list your email online because you are setting yourself up for spam mail so a much better idea is to create a contact form. Contact forma are also much more professional than just listing your email address on your blog or website.
So lets get started with your new contact form!
The first thing to note is that this tutorial is for adding a contact form on wordpress.org. So head on over to your site and log in then follow along below.
For this tutorial we will be using the Contact Form 7 plugin, it’s a very popular plugin and is a great way to get a great contact form up and running that is free.
So head over to your plugin page, search for “Contact Form 7” and install.
Once you have verified that the email is correct go ahead and copy the code.
DO NOT change anything else on this page other than the top “to” email address if needed. Even the content in the brackets – none of that needs to be changed.
Click save and then view your page to see your new form.
If you look at the live view and see the code that means you pasted the code in the visual window instead of the text window so go back in and cut the code, click on “text” and then re-paste the code and save again.
If your form looks good go ahead and test it out so you can see that it works, give it a few minutes for delivery.
