Looking to display your Instagram feed on Blogger? Find out how to add an Instagram widget on Blogger. (Updated 2018 for new SnapWidget platform) Adding an Instagram widget to Blogger is an easy process that can be done in just a few short steps! Blogger does not currently have the option for a built in gadget but luckily a few places online offer free Instagram widgets and all you have to do is customize the gadget to your liking and then add it to your blog! Instagram widgets are a great way to show off your Instagram feed and invite your blog followers to follow your Instagram account.
For this tutorial we will be using the free gadget offered by SnapWidget– SnapWidget has both free and paid plans. For this tutorial all you will need is the free plan so head on over and sign up if you don’t already have an account.
SnapWidget use to allow you to create a widget free without signing up but now you do require users to sign up for a free account. The free acount give you access to 4 or 5 free Instagram widget options. The free widgets will bring readers to a SnapWidget page that displays you Instagram feed as well as some ads BUT the good news is with SnapWidgets updated platform they have a paid plan that is fairly inexpensive and has more options including bringing readers directly to Instagram when they click on images in your widget. Again, they do have a free plan and that is the one I use as a preview on my premade Blogger templates.
So the first thing you will need to do is visit snapwidget.com and then you can follow along with the directions below to get the widget installed:
Be sure to save your changes on your layout page as well!
In step 4 you can choose your customization options. I suggest playing around with the options and using the “preview” option until you get a layout you like!
Now just check your blog and you should have beautiful new Instagram gadget showing off your pics!
